I offer a free no-obligation telephone consultation for anyone who is interested in accessing a speech and language assessment or a speech and language therapy package. This is a great way to discuss your concerns and find out more about what is involved in the assessment or the intervention packages that are available. 

Initial Assessment                           £350

I offer a full assessment of your child/young person’s speech and language skills. This includes a detailed discussion with you about your child/young person’s speech, language and communication development alongside a more holistic discussion about their strengths and needs and any support that they currently have in place. This is followed by a face to face assessment with your child/young person which may involve formal assessments, informal assessments (such as playing together or doing a nursery observation) and having a discussion with your child’s nursery or school staff. A detailed report is provided which outlines your child/young person’s speech, language and communication needs with advice and recommendations. The report is discussed with you and you can ask any questions and talk through what the next steps might be.

Stanard Therapy Sessions             £70 per session

Therapy sessions usually last for 45-60 minutes.

If your child/young person requires weekly speech and language therapy this can be arranged at your child’s nursery or school to reduce the amount of time they are out of the classroom and to facilitate easier communication between myself and their teaching staff. I also contact you regularly after the sessions to discuss progress and to give advice about any activities that you can do at home to help develop your child’s skills. Home visits can also be arranged.

Sessions are usually term time only but I offer some top up sessions in the Summer Holidays on request. You can also email me or contact me in between sessions for advice on the phone and this is included in the price. The price also includes resource creation, liaison with school and any admin.

If your child is also under their local NHS Speech and Language Therapy Team I liaise with the team and I work flexibly with you to meet your child’s needs. If your child is on the NHS waiting list I can provide therapy until they get to the top of the waiting list. If your child has just completed a block of NHS Speech and Language Therapy but you would like them to have additional sessions I can provided additional therapy after their sessions with the NHS team have been completed. Sometimes I can provide therapy alongside the NHS depending on your child or young person’s needs.

If your child is very young or if they have a very short attention span a shorter session may be offered a reduced fee of £35 per session. This can be discussed once the assessment has been completed.

Travel Costs                                      45p per mile

Travel costs are only charged for journeys over 6 miles from base (HD7).

There are no travel fees for journeys less than 6 miles from base.

For journeys that are more than 25 minutes from base, mileage at 45p per mile plus an additional fee will be charged for the extended journey time. More information is given on request.
